Microsoft Just Made Moving to the Cloud a Lot More Appealing with Bridge to the Cloud 3

Got Dynamics NAV, GP, SL, AX, or CRM running your business behind the scenes? If so, we've got some genuinely good news for you.

Microsoft has rolled out a program called Bridge to the Cloud 3 (BTC3), and it's designed to do exactly what the name suggests: help you get from your on-premises system to Dynamics 365 in the cloud, on your own timeline, without the price tag or the stress you might be expecting.

So what exactly is Bridge to the Cloud 3?

Moving to a new system is a big deal and this is Microsoft's way of making it easier for businesses to do. If you're currently on a legacy, on-premises Dynamics product, here's what's on the table:

  • A 30% discount on a three-year Dynamics 365 cloud subscription.

  • Free Enhancement Plan renewals for your existing on-prem system for the life of the promotion, so you're not paying twice while you transition.

  • Dual-use access — meaning your old system keeps running while you shift things to the cloud at a pace that actually works for you, rather than an all-or-nothing switch.

  • Plenty of runway, with the offer open from January 2026 through to the end of December 2027.

The catch (there's always a small one): you'll need to have purchased Dynamics GP, NAV, SL, AX, Dynamics 365 for Operations, or Dynamics CRM before September 2024 to qualify. And you'll need to go through a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider like Systema Solutions to access it.

Why is now actually a good time?

Two words: cost and disruption. Those are usually the two things that make businesses put off a cloud migration, and BTC3 takes a swing at both.

Locking in that 30% discount for three years gives you cost certainty you can actually plan around. And because you're not forced into a hard cutover, your day-to-day operations don't grind to a halt while the migration happens in the background.

There's also a bigger-picture reason to think about this now: older on-premises systems tend to accumulate cybersecurity risk over time, and vendor support for them isn't getting any stronger. Moving to Dynamics 365 means tighter security, regular updates without you having to lift a finger, and access to the AI-powered tools Microsoft keeps adding to the platform.

Thinking about making the move?

This is exactly the kind of thing our team at Systema Solutions loves helping with. We've guided plenty of businesses through the Bridge to the Cloud process — checking eligibility, making sure they get the most out of the incentives, and mapping out a migration that fits how they actually work.
