BUSINESS CENTRAL TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Director of Implementation Services, the Business Central Technical Consultant is the member of the team who delivers the technical requirements of a project to bring a client's ERP needs into fruition. 

 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Configure, develop and deliver Microsoft Dynamics Business Central software and components in all functional areas.

  2. Create new and modify existing customizations and integrations as requested by the business. 

  3. Perform data conversions, debug system problems and craft resolutions.

  4. Write T-SQL queries to pull reports.

  5. Write reports using C/AL, SSRS, and Visual Studio. 

  6. Install and implement service packs and hot fixes as needed. 

  7. Act as technical liaison to business groups for application support. 

  8. Test functionality developed by the development team against business requirements. 

  9. Support and drive process change and communication in line with ERP best practices.

  10. Coordinate and contribute to end-user training including development of system documentation and training materials,

  11. Assist with functional specifications of customizations and integrations required for NAV implementations. 

  12. Provide pre-go live and post-go live end-user support.

  13. Take responsibility for the customized unit programming and overall system functionality. 

  14. Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and other consultants to understand the business / application requirements of the assigned task. 

  15. Take responsibility for delivering development tasks within agreed budgets and timelines. 

  16. Create technical documentation for all customizations and integrations. 

THE QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. With knowledge and working background in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central software and components in all functional areas. 

  2. With working knowledge or previous experience in C/AL, SSRS, and Visual Studio.  

  3. Comprehensive understanding of the full software lifecycle development (SDLC), required. 

  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  5. Requires minimal supervision with strong problem solving and analytical skills. 

THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR FRESH GRADUATES

  1. Have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Engineering/Programming or any equivalent course.

  2. Must have a basic knowledge in C# and Python.

  3. Having working/application knowledge in SQL is a plus.

  4. Must be amenable to work on full night shift hours (10PM to 6AM).
